Most freight blogs read like brochures. Ours won’t. We started Bak Freight in 2021 because we were tired of weak links — missed pickups, vague ETAs, deliveries that came late and arrived rough — and we’re writing this blog the same way we run dispatch: short, useful, and direct.
What you can expect here
Three things, mostly:
- Sustainability, in practice. What it actually takes to run a zero-emissions last-mile fleet — the wins, the cost surprises, the parts of the rollout that no one talks about.
- Dispatch playbooks. How we quote in under ten minutes, how we communicate, what we do when a load goes sideways, and the small operational habits that make the difference.
- The road, honestly. Stories from the road, market notes, and the occasional opinion piece on where freight is headed.
Why now
Two reasons. First, we’re crossing an inflection point: our zero-emissions last-mile division logged over two million EV kilometres in 2025 alone, and the lessons from that scale are worth writing down. Second, we’re opening our Houston office in Q2 2026, and we want partners on both sides of the border to have a real picture of how we operate before the truck shows up at their dock.
We’re not here to write the longest post. We’re here to write the one that helps you sleep before a 4 a.m. pickup.
What this is, and isn’t
This blog isn’t a place for buzzwords or generic top-ten lists. If a post can’t pass the “would I forward this to a logistics manager who’s short on time?” test, it doesn’t go up. We’d rather publish less and have it land.
If there’s a topic you’d like us to cover — EV charging logistics, cross-border on-time performance, dispatch tooling, anything — let us know. We read everything.
One last thing
If you’re here because you’re considering moving freight with us: thank you. Quote in under 10 minutes, or call +1 (905) 798-3778 if it’s urgent. We’ll be ready.
